Al-Batool Islamic Society was established in 2001, located in Halifax, Canada. It is an Islamic society that is founded on the Holy Qur’an and the narratives (hadith) of the Holy Prophet Mohammad (pbuh) and his infallible family (a.s.). Since the inception, the society has given priority to serve the followers of Ahlulbayt and all Muslims in the community and help spread the Islamic religion. It is an obligation upon everyone to keep their religion and beliefs wherever they go, either in an Islamic community or otherwise. The Al-Batool society is holding this task as part of its basis to let all Muslims practice their traditions and deeds. In addition, there are many cultural and entertainment activities that the society offers to its members and attendants. These activities increase the opportunities to see your friends and brothers and sisters in Islam under one roof. As for the children who were born in Canada or cannot speak Arabic fluently, it is their chance to come to the society and listen and speak in the language of the holy Qur’an. May Allah give us the Tawfeeq to be the right followers of Ahlulbayt (a.s)

Sonbilah is a youth committee under the name of Al-Batool Islamic Society. Sonbilah’s primary goal is the emergence of the Canadian Muslim identity. It achieves its purpose by sharing the values of Islam by providing religious, educational, and recreational facilities for members of the public..Our vision is to empower youth with awakened minds, inspired hearts, and enlightened actions. Also provides a platform for expression, fostering, and engaging with the North American Muslim Culture, sparking youth involvement in the community to develop a dialogue and establish a diverse & supportive network for the future generation of tomorrow. To create an atmosphere of unity where youths from different backgrounds unite and to change the role of Muslim youths in our society today, from being perceived as young people with no responsibilities to leaders in our communities. We meet on Saturday nights during the academic year at Al-Batool Islamic Society. The program will conduct activities and discuss issues relevant to their ages and environment. This program covers ages from 13 to 35 years old for both females and males. Our youth programs occasionally feature guest speakers and other programs such as the Youth movie night, game night, leadership workshops, and seasonal outings such as hiking, ski trips, bowling, kayaking, ice skating, youth BBQ, etc..Our approach to Islam and our definition of the Canadian Muslim identity, all of which shape the character of how we represent our community… Every Saturday from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm Ages 13 – 35 (Only)
